Bitcoin and ether holders urged to enter ‘bunker mode’ against possible AI attacks

Ethereum researchers have warned that artificial intelligence could potentially break the mathematics protecting Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets within months, urging large holders to gradually move funds to new addresses. While no practical attack has been demonstrated, AI may help attackers recover private keys by exploiting patterns in elliptic curves used for wallet signatures.
