Ireland’s national police warns of hacked X accounts promoting crypto scams
Ireland's national police force reported that two of its official X accounts, with a combined following of over 900,000, were compromised on October 14-15, 2026. The accounts were used to promote a fraudulent XRP allocation scam, directing users to a wallet app called Xaman. The police confirmed their internal systems were not breached.
